Making the Most of My Time: Learning on the Go at the Airport
Sitting at the airport, waiting for my Lufthansa flight, I had booked business class (yes, it was cheaper than booking economy flights for some reason) and I found myself in the lounge room with comfortable seats, great food and a lot of spare time. Instead of wasting my time watching another action movie or TV show, I decided to appreciate this time and dedicate it to myself. What better way to do that than by studying and learning new things?
Investing in yourself is one of the best things you can do, and I knew that my spare time at the airport was the perfect opportunity to do just that. So, I logged into AWS Skillbuilder and went for the "AWS Learning: Object Storage" module. I've used S3 in the past, but there's always some details that you never used. I realized that I learned a few new things that I was not expecting and was able to finish the assessment and get the "AWS Learning: Object Storage" badge.
I felt super productive for using this spare time for learning instead of watching another action movie or TV show. This experience made me realize that we all have spare time that we can use to learn new things and improve ourselves. Next time you find yourself at the airport, think about this and go for an AWS assessment! Try it, you'll be surprised how much you can learn in a short amount of time.
In conclusion, I encourage all of you to make the most of your spare time, no matter where you are. Learning is a lifelong process and any time is a good time to invest in yourself. So next time you find yourself at the airport, remember that you can use that time to learn new things and improve yourself. Try it and you will be surprised how much you can learn in a short amount of time.
